In Cooperation with International Development Partners, An Inspection Visit to Rod El Farag Water Treatment Plant


Within the framework of following up and monitoring the projects implemented through development cooperation programs with development partners, the Minister of International Cooperation, Jonathan Cohen, the American Ambassador in Cairo, Leslie Reed, Director of the USAID Office in Egypt, and Eng. Mamdouh Raslan, COB of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation, inspected the sewage treatment plant in Rod El-Farag area, which was inaugurated and funded by the United States Agency for International Development, to monitor the social and economic impact of the plant, which provides services to more than 5 million citizens in Cairo.

She explained that the Rod El-Farag water plant was implemented in cooperation between Egypt and the United States in 1986, and since that date, Egypt has implemented many similar projects all over the republic, making it one of the leading countries in this field, thus supporting and benefiting many other countries.
