Egypt's exports of building materials, refractory and metallurgy industries hit $3.9 billion during the first eight months of 2020, compared to $3.2 billion during the same period last year. According to the monthly report of the Export Council for Building Materials, Refractory and Metallurgy Industries (ECBM) on Saturday, the country's exports of jewels and precious stones reached $2.1 billion in January-August 2020, compared to $1.2 billion during the same period in 2019. Meanwhile, exports of ceramics dropped by 30 percent to hit $78 million.
