A Professor at AUC Designs a Guide to Buildings for People with Autism

Dr. Magda Mostafa, an associate professor in the Department of Architecture at the American University in Cairo (AUC) and an international expert in designing buildings suitable for people with autism, is currently working on a design guide to buildings that suit the needs of autistic people at Dublin  University in Ireland.   Dr. Magda Mustafa seeks to make the project possible for development and replication across Dublin in general and in various countries, as she says: “I hope that this guide will remain available not only for one university, but also for other universities as well, and I hope that all institutions will continue to follow up and implement these procedures in different ways, and I hope this is an ongoing project and continues to expand. Mustafa aspires for the Dublin University project to become a pioneering project for campus design guidelines for all higher education institutions, in order to reach a systematic way to build a university campus that takes into account people with autism, including accommodation, buildings, classrooms, libraries, offices, food outlets, …etc. Mustafa stated that individuals with autism need a space to which they can resort when they feel overwhelmed and when they feel the need to get a rest. Wadi El-Natrun Culture Palace in Beheira is considered one of the most important cultural palaces in Egypt, due to its unique architectural design similar to the designs of the international architect Hassan Fathy, in addition to its distinguished activities such as Badia arts, theater, cinema and celebrity libraries such as the library of the late critic Ali Abu Shady and other rich artistic activities. Skyway launches an administrative project with investments worth EGP 400 million in the (NAC)

Skyway Real Estate Development Company announced the opening of reservations for the first phase of its latest projects in the New Administrative Capital on February 21, at Helnan Landmark Hotel in New Cairo. Eng.
