EGP 58 million for the "Decent Life" Initiative Projects within the Scope of Beheira Electricity Distribution Company

Within the framework of accelerating the implementation of the projects planned in the "Decent Life" initiative, which was launched by H.E. president Sisi to raise the standard of living in the villages most in need, as well as promoting the development of basic services provided to citizens and alleviating poverty rates , Dr. Muhammad Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, asked the electricity distribution companies to take the necessary steps towards improving the efficiency of electrical networks in the targeted villages. Dr. Shaker explained that the development plan for the electricity networks that will be implemented includes improving the service and raising the efficiency of the electrical supply. It also includes the conversion of exposed low-voltage conductors into insulated ones, changing the small conductors to convenient ones, raising the capacity of the transformers, replacing the rickety lamp posts, replacing the suspended transformers with kiosks, and creating new electric feeders to improve the performance and stability of electrical supply and develop solutions to avoid problems of long lines. Telecom Egypt, Google sign agreement to provide secure international services to Europe

Telecom Egypt and Google International signed an agreement by which the latter will provide transit services at the level of Internet protocols (IP Layer) through the Egyptian terrestrial international communications network. Under the agreement, Google will obtain international capacities for Europe through the TE North submarine cable system owned by Telecom Egypt. Telecom Egypt will provide the highest levels of protection for Google's data traffic through submarine cable landing stations in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea as the Egyptian network will redirect private international data traffic of Google from one path to another with high flexibility and an interchangeable high speed with a routing time not exceeding 50 milliseconds.In addition, Telecom Egypt will provide the highest levels of availability for Google's international transactional traffic with its SLA portal. Infinity announces plans to expand its Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Network across Egypt

Largest EV charging network to feature over 300 stations across Egypt by end of 2023 Infinity, a leading renewables energy solutions provider, today announced its intention to expand its electric vehicle (EV) charging station network across Egypt, in line with the government’s intention to build a robust ecosystem for EVs in the country. The company, which already has an existing network of over 40 charging stations with more than 150 charging points, stated it was aiming to launch over 300 charging stations by 2023 and planned to invest around 300 million EGP to reach this milestone. Since 2018, Infinity has been establishing the fastest growing EV charging network throughout Egypt. Infinity’s charging stations are equipped with EVBox chargers, Europe’s leading electric vehicle charging manufacturer and provider, and are capable of charging at least 2 electric vehicles simultaneously with certain stations allowing concurrent charging of up to six vehicles. All stations are built in confirmation to EU standards and cater to Type 2 charger cables. Alternatively, EV owners can also use adapter cables to charge their cars at the stations. Egypt will establish the first factory for the production of railways

Minister of Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, said that coordination is underway with companies specialized in the iron and steel industry to establish a factory for the production of railways in Egypt to settle this industry, provide hard currency and create new job opportunities.
