  Writen By Ali Dagher Egypt is witnessing an urban revolution at the level of building and construction that has not been witnessed in Egypt's  modern era- urban history, according to the magnitude of works and constructions, and one of the most prominent features of the urban revolution is the New Administrative Capital, where the Ministerial District, which  includes the cabinet building and 34 ministerial buildings, along with a number of other buildings, such as the administrative control, the Passports Authority and others, is considered the icon of that modern city. The implementation rate for all buildings has reached 90%, currently, the internal and external finishes for buildings and offices  are about to be completed, in addition to the landscape works for the internal squares and the “People’s Square” in the middle of the ministries’ buildings, and the green spaces in preparation for transferring of about 50 thousands ministries’ employees, who will be transferred in stages. Ministry of Environment: The New Administrative Capital (NAC) is a true model for urban environmental planning

The Ministry of Environment, in cooperation with the German Friedrich- Ebert- Stiftung, organized a workshop on mechanisms for integrating biological diversity in the urban planning sector for government workers specializing in housing and urban planning in Alexandria in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Communities, the Urban Planning Authority in Cairo and Alexandria, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and representatives of universities in Cairo and Alexandria. The workshop aims to integrate the concepts of biological diversity in the urban planning sector and raise the awareness of workers in this sector of the importance of biological diversity and sustainable development through showing the role of environmental work partners in protecting and preserving biological diversity when planning to establish new cities or urban projects.   The Minister of Environment reviewed a number of issues and topics included in the workshop such as green infrastructure, the impact of renewable energy projects on biological diversity as well as sustainable transport and promotion of motor transport, in addition to presenting methods of planning for the sustainable water system and how to support biodiversity in Egyptian cities and the role of historical public parks and public spaces and the importance of preserving them. ORASCOM CONSTRUCTION CONSORTIUM SIGNS A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) TO BUILD EGYPT’S FIRST HIGH-SPEED RAIL SYSTEM

Orascom Construction announces that it has signed, together with Siemens Mobility and Arab Contractors, a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) to design, install and commission Egypt’s first high-speed rail system. The agreement encompasses a rail system with a network of 1000 km. The first high-speed line will stretch across 460km and has an order value of around USD 3 billion. This initial line, which will also be operable for freight transport, will connect Ain Sokhna to Al Alamein while passing through the New Administrative Capital. This landmark project adds to Orascom Construction’s large portfolio of high-profile transportation projects, which includes monorail, light rail, railway and metro. It also reinforces the Group’s position as a leading partner on mega projects in Egypt. Osama Bishai, CEO of Orascom Construction, commented, “We continue to build on our track record as a major player in the transportation sector. Speaker of Egyptian Parliament thanks the President the Arab Contractors Company for the Administrative Capital

 Dr. Hanafy Gebaly, Speaker of Parliament, said that he visited the new administrative capital, describing it as “the most important achievements of Egypt and its dream to cross into the future.” This came during the beginning of the Parliament session on Sunday, February 14, in which the Speaker reviewed the details of his visit to the headquarters of the Parliament in the Administrative Capital. "I had the honor to visit the New Administrative Capital to find out the latest developments regarding the construction of the new building of the Council, and what I saw there is a miracle that every Egyptian should be proud of, whether it is done in the main building of the House of Representatives ... which includes the main hall that accommodates a thousand members, or the service buildings that cope pace with the latest developments of the era in terms of modernity and technology. He said: "I learned that work continues there day and night."  The speaker of the House of Representatives thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, saying, “He is the sponsor of development, who came out of the good land of Egypt in order to cross the bridge to complete the building of a modern civil state." Skyway launches an administrative project with investments worth EGP 400 million in the (NAC)

Skyway Real Estate Development Company announced the opening of reservations for the first phase of its latest projects in the New Administrative Capital on February 21, at Helnan Landmark Hotel in New Cairo. Eng. Hosni El-Saedy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Skyway, said that the company obtained a plot of land of 3600 square meters in the Down Town area to develop an administrative tower with a height of 63 meters. He confirmed that the tower is 18 floors high, ( a roof, 3 garages, and 15 recurring floors), characterized by distinct designs that match the best international designs with investments of more than 400 million pounds. He added that The company has more distinguished marketing ideas, especially since we have the full desire to deliver on time to show our respect for the company's customers and to gain their confidence, especially since we have incomparable prices and payment systems.
