Dairut Corridor: The most important project in Assiut, to link the eastern with the western and agricultural

Markaz Dairut (Municipal Division), the last Markaz of Assiut governorate from the northern side, is one of the most important projects implemented by the Ministry of Transport. The project,"Dairout Free Corridor", which is built on the Nile River, connects the "eastern desert, western desert and agricultural" roads, at a total cost of EGP 1.7bn. The "Dairout Free Corridor" project is a great quantum leap in the movement of transport and communications. It contributes to the link between urban and industrial communities because it includes 13 industrial work, including 2 main bridges (a bridge over the Nile River with a length of about 1000 m, and a bridge on the railway with a length of 865 m above the "Assiut-Sohag" agricultural road, the "Cairo-Aswan" railway and the Al-Ibrahimiya canal, with 4 navigational openings, 10 shallow bridges and 1 culvert for torrents, with a length of 15 km and a width of 21 meters on two lanes.
